The Basketball 3v3 Tournament is an eagerly anticipated and exhilarating sporting event that brings together teams from different backgrounds to showcase their basketball skills and competitive spirit. Held on a specially designed half-court with a single hoop and backboard, the tournament features intense and fast-paced games as three-player teams battle it out for supremacy.
Rules:
1. Team Size: Each team consists of three players on the court at a time, with additional substitutes allowed for rotation.
2. Court Size: The game is played on a half-court, with one hoop and backboard.
3. Scoring: A field goal inside the three-point line counts as one point, while shots beyond the three-point line count as two points. Free throws are worth one point each.
4. Game Duration: The game is typically played in one half, with a set time limit (e.g., 10 minutes) or a specific score target (e.g., first team to 21 points wins).
5. Possession: The team that scores a point gets possession of the ball. If the ball goes out of bounds, the team that touched it last loses possession.
6. Check Ball: After each score or at the beginning of the game, the defense "checks" the ball by passing it to the offensive team from the top of the key. The offense initiates play from there.
7. Shot Clock: Depending on the level of play, there may be a shot clock to ensure teams take a shot within a certain time frame (e.g., 12-24 seconds) to keep the game moving.
8. Fouls: Common basketball fouls apply, such as pushing, tripping, charging, or holding. If a player is fouled in the act of shooting, they get free throws.
9. Substitutions: Teams can make substitutions during dead-ball situations or when there is a timeout.
10. Winner: The team with the most points at the end of the designated time or the first to reach the score target is declared the winner
